Amid the newly formed Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) going rampant when it comes to demolishing houses built in Full Tank Leval (FTL) and buffer zones, many homeowners in these zones have been lingering with fear.
Recently, HYDRAA also demolished illegal construction in the Bam Ruk-ud-Daula lake, people living in Old City are expecting similar action on the construction of the Mir Alam Tank.
According to Siasat.com, encroachments have occupied almost fifty per cent of the Mir Alam Tank.
Now a couple of colonies have come up in the tank with houses built in FTL and buffer zones.
Environmentalists have expressed hope that HYRAA would take action on the encoahcemets as it is leading to flooding due to rains.
